Your first room in Planlilt

A clear route from measured walls to a layout you can compare and keep.

Start with the real room

Open My projects and choose New project. Give the room a recognizable name, choose your measurement units, and enter its width and depth. Switching units preserves the underlying physical dimensions. Continue to choose the room purpose and floor finish, then review the details before creating the room. For an irregular room, start with an empty canvas and use Shape or Wall.

Place the largest furniture first

Open Browse full collection to find a bed, sofa, desk or dining table. Search familiar names such as couch or bookcase, filter by maximum width and depth in your project units, and sort by footprint or name. Filters use the displayed orientation and do not guarantee a clear route around the piece. Select a piece and change its name, width and depth in Properties to match your actual furniture. Use the full product footprint, including projecting arms and frames.

Keep useful arrangements together

Shift + click selects more furniture. On a phone, open Tools, then In this plan and Select multiple. Group an arrangement to move it together, align its visible edges, or lock it against accidental changes. Copy and paste works within the open editor.

Review the footprint

Open Fit check. Review furniture overlaps, room and wall boundaries, and door-swing intersections. Select one piece and choose a spacing target to inspect nearby gaps. These checks do not calculate a continuous walking route or certify any construction or accessibility requirement.

Try a second arrangement

Clear the selection to show Project overview, then choose Save an alternate layout. Change furniture positions in the alternate and open Compare saved layouts. Both drawings use the same scale; your original remains independently saved.

Take the plan with you

Use Export, then Presentation set for a measured plan sheet, room areas and floor finishes, and a furniture schedule with quantities and dimensions. Choose linework or materials, download the PDF, or print on A4 landscape with browser headers and footers off. The furniture CSV retains full names and precise numeric dimensions. Standard PNG, SVG and editable project backup exports remain available. Projects stay in the current browser. Download a backup before clearing browser data, changing devices or leaving a private browsing session.
